The High Priest’s Breastplate.

After many, many years we are submitting to you the representation of the high priest breastplate as indicated in Exodus chapter 28.

Now, why do we have to make our own breastplate? Basically our approach to it is that we believe that the 12 tribes are oriented on the breastplate in the same way they are in the camp where in the middle you will have the Tabernacle and then all around it you would have 3 tribes to the East, 3  tribes to the West, 3 tribes in the North, and  3 tribes in the South. If that is the case, we don’t know this is just our interpretation and representation of what we believe is happening, then the stones that are on the High Priest Breastplate and the order of the stones is exactly the same as New Jerusalem because:

  • in New Jerusalem you have 3 gates at the East, 3 gates at the West, 3 gates at the North and 3 gates at the South, and at the three gates 3 foundation gemstones. Our belief is that they are the same and that the High Priest Breastplate as we will explain further, is an exact replica of New Jerusalem.

Now the reason we had to make our own, and believe me I’m not the best in textile arts, but the reason we had to make is the majority of time when you see the high priest breastplate you’ll see something like this where you have 4 rows.

This one is actually stones in New Jerusalem, but you have a row of 3,3,3,3 and they’re stacked on top of each other.

Throughout the course of this video we’re going to explain the issues we have with that, but basically we believe that instead of being rows going one on top of the other we believe that the rows are going at the cardinal points.

If this is correct then the Urim and Thummim, they’re supposed to be on the hearts, on Aaron’s heart along with the stones, but there’s no room for the Urim and Thummim if the rows are like this.

  • The gemstones are supposed to be on his heart and so are the Urim and Thummim.

Now others have resolved that by saying there’s a pouch in the back of the breastplate that has the Urim and Thummim and they’re not visible. They’re in a pouch in the back so you can’t see them. But it says that both the stones and the Urim and Thummim are on Aaron’s heart, so that once we begin to position the Urim and Thummim in the middle as represented here by these two stones:

We don’t know that Urim and Thummim are stones but Lord willing we’ll have a second part to this and we’ll have a focus on those, the Urim and Thummim, but this allows us to have all the stones on Aaron’s heart. This is just a replica. It’s not made to scale and we’ll explain to it the details of what we have here and why we have made it the way we have made it.

Now if you’re wondering what is the point of this, we think this is very important, this is very profound, this is like the representations of heaven; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Now heaven is expressed through New Jerusalem. Heaven is expressed through the temple and the tabernacle. In the high priest garments, all of the garments that we see with the high priests and the various details and intricacies that we see in Exodus chapter 28 they all represent the building of the tabernacle itself, and we know New Jerusalem is the Tabernacle. So it behooves us to actually try to understand and make sense of this even if we don’t do it right.

We’re certainly not saying this is right. This is very complex. Our stones we’re not saying that this is exactly what they look like. This is our best attempt after years and years of study. There is a relationship and the Most High is not confused. What He gave when He came down, and we’re in the time that His glory came down on the Mount Sinai, Moses was on the mountain and he’s getting these orders and things and these things are also in the book of Revelation. So that in the revelation and the revealing of the Lord Jesus Christ these things have to mean something.

Now this is part of a playlist called ‘Show the Design, Measure the Pattern’ and what that means is that we look at the pattern of these vessels and various things and compare them to what we see in the book of Revelation and try to make sense of them. We have covered already many things in previous videos which we can show you here.

{Show Design, Measure Pattern playlist link is at the bottom of this blog post.}

Of the things that were shown to Moses on Mount Sinai in Exodus chapter 25 we have the Ark of the Covenant, and this is a rendering of the Ark of the  ovenant by Ron Wyatt or his associates showing us the Ark of the Covenant and the cherubim.

Now we believe that of course the Ark of the Covenant appears in Revelation 11 but as well we also believe the Ark of the Covenant has its fulfillment when Christ sits upon His throne in the Holy of Holies of the Ezekiel Temple,

at which point there’s a Golden Footstool in front of the Throne representing the Ark of the Covenant. Here you can see we’ve depicted the cherubim that were on the Ark of the Covenant now they’re depicted on the walls.

{To learn more, please watch ‘The Footstool, the Ark’ the link is at the bottom of this blogpost.}

In addition it describes to us the Menorah. We found the Menorah fulfilled through a sequence of Solar and Lunar Eclipses, starting with the 4 Blood Moons. That is in this playlist ‘Show Design, Measure Pattern’.

This is the Table. The incense altar is also in the Ezekiel’s Temple. This is our rendering of Ezekiel table.

Then of course we have the Altar.

We have the Altar and these are the major things. There are additional things of course. We’ve discussed the East Gate, but we just wanted to show you in the playlist ‘Show Design, Measure Pattern’ some of the basic things we have covered that’s in Exodus chapter 25 through 31.

{To learn more about the East Gate, please watch Knock at the Door to East Gate, and East Gate & Those Worshiping In It, the links are at the bottom of this blog post.}

Now what we want to do is we want to take a look at the Lord Jesus Christ, His appearing, and how we can see His garments that we see in the book of Revelation, how they relate to in a way the priestly garments that we see shown to Moses.

Next we want to look at the garments of the Lord Jesus Christ in the book of Revelation.

We can see that His attire is matching some of what we can see with the priests. We want to take a look at His garments. These notes here we will include in our part 2 on the Urim and Thummim. We see in Revelation 1:1 {ABP} “…..one like unto the Son of Man, being clothed with a foot length robe, and being girded to the breasts (or the chest) with a golden belt.”

Now some of what we see here is consistent with not the high priest but the other priests, and the high priest actually their garments, the high priest and the other sons of Aaron, had less elaborate priestly garments and Aaron would have those or the high priests would have those, when he went into the Holy of Holies. All the more detailed garments including the breastplate were not on the high priest when he went into the Holy of Holies they were for the inner court area.

So Christ is in the Holy of Holies here in Revelation chapter 1, in the midst of the 7 Menorahs, and He has a full length robe and a golden belt. This golden belt is consistent with what we see and it’s at the chest and it’s in the place of the breastplate. Having around His chest a golden belt in the fashion of the ephod.  Now, for time sake, one of the garments is called the ephod which is on the high priest garments and the breastplate is attached to this. In the King James in Exodus 28 it describes a “Curious girdle” and this footlong robe. This same word we see in Greek here is also used in Exodus.

So, yes Christ as we’re seeing Him in Revelation chapter 1 is appearing in the garments of the priesthood, Him being the High Priest in the Holy of Holies. This is the robe of the ephod is what it’s called, the full length robe. “And you shall make a robe of the ephod all of blue {Exodus 28:31}.” Now the high priest and his garments, his full length robe was blue. That is in Revelation 1.

Then when Christ is appearing on His white horse, He has different garments.

He had the full length robe, but this is not practical in this situation because He’s on a horse. If you have a garment that’s going all the way down to the feet, your legs need to go on either side of the horse.  So He has a blood colored garment that goes to the thigh, because the legs and the garment for the pants is on so that He’s on the horse.

Then it says on this garment in this area of the thigh, “King of kings and Lord of lords…” {Revelation 19:16}. This is the “hem of His garment” with writing in the fashion of other names in the attire like on the high priest he had a breastplate and it said, ‘Holiness to Yahweh’.

The word here in the Septuagint for Greek is loma and this can be compared to Christ and the hem of His garment that we see in the New Testament, the fringe, the border, the tassel area. It’s this word, hem of His garments, which we see in Isaiah 6:1 “the train (or hem of his garment) filled the temple.”

Now there are names written on the crown as well. The high priest had a crown and a turban.

We don’t see this crown or turban in Revelation 1, but we do see aspects of it in Revelation 19 when Christ is on His horse, He has a crown of many crowns. Most likely it was a band that went around and then had a turban, a diadem.

{Revelation 19:12 ABP} “…..upon his head many crowns having names written.”  Just like the names were written on the high priest, ‘Holiness to Yahweh’, Christ has names written. “…and a name written which no one knows,  but he himself.” So there’s another distinction about His crown, but it is aspects of what we see with the high priests.

{Revelation 19:13 ABP} “And wearing a cloak (or himation).”  This is a different garment than that what we saw in Revelation 1.  “being dipped in blood, and His name, The Word of God.”

Cloak or garment here is different, the himation is different than the word that we saw before poderes, and it continues with this usage of this word as cloak or garment. “He had upon his cloak (or garment) and upon his thigh a name written: King of kings and Lord of lords {Revelation 19:16}.”

  • There are the aspects of what we can see how Christ is exemplifying details of what the Most High has shown in the priestly garments. He has attire in similar fashion.

Here’s some of our handwritten notes of our many years of research. I will try to get PDFs posted of this for those of you that are interested.

The first thing we go to do when we go to do the high priest breastplate, when we read about it, it tells us that they are according to the birth of the 12 tribes of Israel. Now that might seem simple. However what we want to do is actually look at the scriptures that talk about it. Moses wrote Exodus and Moses is receiving the instructions and describing everything. In Exodus 1:1 we have a certain order of the 12 tribes of Israel. This order that’s listed here this agrees with Genesis 35:23-26.

Now what is happening is in this order, it’s not the actual order of the sons, but there’s a relationship between the order and the mothers. It doesn’t actually say which tribes they are. More or less what we’ve done in Exodus 1:1 it says, ‘these are the tribes that came (or these are the 70 that came) with Jacob to Egypt.’ Joseph is not mentioned but a certain order of the tribes was mentioned and this agrees with Genesis 35. Once we applied the tribes, we went with this order of Genesis 35 and how it goes is with the mothers.

So what we’re doing is in Hebrew you start from the right side and then to go left.

So we have Rueben, Simeon, Levi.

Judah, Issachar, Zebulun.

Joseph, Benjamin, Dan.

Naphtali, Gad, Asher.

Now as you look at that and you were actually to go through and see each son when it was born, it is actually different than this order but this is the order that we believe is what Moses is using to do the breastplate because he documented Exodus himself in Exodus 1:1.

When we do this we begin to see a pattern in our structure here that is similar to the camps of the children of Israel, not exactly but close, where we have Rueben, Simeon camped towards the South.

Now in this graphic what we’ve done is shown an example of the children of Israel camped in the wilderness.

The center of the camp was the tribe of Levi with the tabernacle. This is the courtyard of the tabernacle and in yellow here is the tabernacle. This was in the middle and then the tribes were camped in different directions where we have Reuben, Simeon and Gad towards the South.

When they camped they also had an insignia or a banner or a flag and we get these insignia and the order of these flags in Genesis 49 and Deuteronomy 33. For example we have: Gad – troop, Reuben – man, Zebulun – ship, Judah – lion, Issachar – donkey, Naftali – deer, Dan – eagle holding a serpent, Asher – bread, Benjamin – wolf, Ephraim – ox, also Joseph – ox, and Levi is Urim and Thummim. Their banner and their insignia for the tribe of Levi is Urim and Thummim.

This is what we’re saying is in our view if we take the rows that are listed, Reuben, Simeon, Levi and they are towards the South.

Judah, Issachar,  Zebulun perfectly they are toward the East.

Joseph, Benjamin, Dan. We get Ephraim, Manasseh, the sons of Joseph, and Benjamin towards the West.

Naftali, Gad, Asher. We get Dan, Asher, Naftali, North.

It’s not exact but it’s close.

  • Now the other thing in Hebrew is it’s not like modern Hebrew. Back then there was no prescribed way of writing left to right, right to left. You could actually go in different directions, and they went in a circular fashion. In ancient, ancient, if we could find them there are examples of it, but what they would do is they would write going left and then they would write in a different direction.

In modern times what we think is when you see a row it’s just you go to school you write down a page. The teacher tells you here’s a piece of paper write 1 to 15 and you write 1,2,3,4,5. We’re all conditioned over thousands of years, at least hundreds of years, this is where we’re educated. Hebrew wasn’t like that back then. It wasn’t standardized.

So when it’s talking about a row of gemstones it could be that it’s going like this. So what we began to see is that if we orient our tribes we actually come close to the exact tribes of the camp of the children of Israel.

Not only that remember how we saw Levi they have the Urim and Thummim in the middle. If we orient it like this we actually have room for the Urim and Thummim in the middle so that when we look and we orient our breastplate like this it’s a map! And, New Jerusalem is exactly the same where each position you have the 12 tribes of the children of Israel and each position you have 3 gates and a gemstone.

This is why we’re doing all this.

Now the other thing is when you look at this and you pause the video and you look at the colors don’t be enamored with the colors. We don’t really know. What happens is it tells you a stone but you don’t know what color it is. It doesn’t tell you. You know what onyx looks like, but onyx could be white or black and that’s a huge difference. Which is it? It doesn’t say.

Not only that let me show you something else. Then I was like part 2 I hope in the future to actually find a relationship between what we have with the gemstones on the breastplate and New Jerusalem itself so that when it says what it is in the Septuagint, which is in Greek, in Exodus 28 it would match what we see in Revelation 21. I’m not in a position to do that right now.

Anyway to show you how complex this is, row one is Reuben, Simeon, Levi. Now in the King James version, or we call it the Masoretic text, it says in English sardius, topaz and carbuncle. Then what we have is we have the Septuagint, the Septuagint is taking the Old Testament translating it into Greek and they have a list, and then we also have the Dead Sea Scrolls. What we want to do is look at these different sources and see if they agree. They do in the first two. The Septuagint says sardius and topaz. The Dead Sea Scrolls says ruby or sardius and topaz so they agreed. After that they’re different.

Sapphire they’re the same.  And also the name of the stone of what we read in English it’s not that simple, they’re very complex. There are only a few words, jasper, sapphire that actually are the same word in Hebrew. They’re very, very, different.

We’re not saying that we know exactly what the stones are, that’s not the purpose of this video. The purpose of this video is to orient ourselves with the fact that they’re not positioned in rows like this,  the gemstones, 4 rows.

Their position is in the cardinal points with the Urim and Thummim that’s in the center of the camp and that’s the banner for Levi which we’re representing by this white stone and black stone.

We don’t know what the Urim and Thummim are. Are they stones? What are they? We don’t know, but we do know that New Jerusalem is oriented like this and we could also see this pattern in the Ezekiel Temple.

If you look outside you can see that there are buildings {green} and these are what we call boiling houses {on the corner in blue} and these are gates {yellow} and so that we have this square.

The other thing about this it says this (the breastplate) is a span. Now a span is supposed to be from the tip of your thumb to the tip of your pinky. For our sake and example we made this smaller but basically it’s a tetragonos in Greek. That is 4 cornered. That often is translated as a perfect square, tetragonos. We believe it is a tetragonos, perfect square, just like New Jerusalem. The same word tetragonos is used. It’s 4 squared.

Then it says it’s doubled. It says double a span and so basically that’s what this part is here (on either side of the stones on the breastplate). Now these materials it says that you are to use blue, purple, crimson and linen. That’s how we have these here depicted because these are those colors.

What do we know? We know that the stones are very complex but we knew we had to make a breastplate and we wanted to orient it like this because this would be more consistent with the Ezekiel Temple order and the gates of New Jerusalem with the 12 tribes of Israel.

Now that being said when it comes to the actual gemstones that are listed here I did not orient them in any way or fashion. I just don’t know what they are. I don’t know what color they are. What I did is this. I basically had a friend help me with the materials to make this breastplate and we ordered them online and they basically listed these are the stones like this and they oriented it in such a fashion.

Now when we actually oriented the stones here just so you know we started with sardius, or ruby, (top right) and we did this is row one (top), this is row 2 (left) and then this is row three over here (right).

Why do we do that with 1 (top), 2 (left), 3 (right), 4 (bottom)? Well as we said that is actually very consistent with the positioning of the tribes that we found with the camps. When it describes the camps it doesn’t list them in a circular fashion. It starts with the South, East, West, North. So because of the camps we’re actually relating the stones to the camps, and that’s why it’s done the way it is. See how complex this is? That’s why I’m saying this is that in no way are we saying that this is exactly the high priest breastplate, these are exactly the stones. That’s not the goal of this video.

Now in doing the study I want to share with you something else. When you search these stones of course you will find these stones in Exodus 28. You also find them in Job 28 as it deals with wisdom, many of them, and of course we find them in Revelation 21 with New Jerusalem. We also find the stones in Ezekiel 28.

What I found interesting is in Ezekiel 28 when we read the Septuagint, that is the Greek Old Testament, when they list the stones they list them in the exact order as the order that we see on the high priest breastplate in Exodus 28.

  • So what does it mean? Well the anointed cherub is being described by the prophet Ezekiel before his fall. Before his fall it talks about how Yahweh created the anointed cherub and it describes in the Masoretic King James version 9 gemstones. 9, exactly the ones that are on the high priest breastplate.

The Septuagint takes that a step further and includes 3 more that will be part of the high priest breastplate in Exodus 28, and they’re on the anointed cherub in Ezekiel 28.

  • Now that’s very deep, because what that tells us is that these gemstones were part of the anointed cherub, part of the worship, part of this “being” before its fall and that it is actually showing us New Jerusalem before Adam is even created. That’s very profound.

We also have to realize that this “entity”, which we now know is Lucifer or the Dragon or the Serpent, he had these stones on him as well. He had instruments, musical instruments, that were part of his very being. He didn’t have to hold an instrument in his hand and play it, it was part of the structure of him as an entity. He could make sounds. He had these stones. Ezekiel 28 tells us this. There is one where the sound was like a flute, one of them was like a stringed instrument, a nebel.

Anyway that is an extraordinary connection that the Septuagint makes, because they list all 12 stones that are on the high priest breastplate and they have those attributed to the stones that’s on the anointed cherub.

There are a couple ways of looking at that. Number one it’s like, the anointed cherub knows about these gemstones, and it talks about these are the stones of fire. These are those that walk upon the stones of fire and that’s the angelical order of what they would do in the worship of the Most High in Eden and before the throne. It also shows us what I believe is something very interesting and that is that the “ways” of the Most High are consistent and so that when he created that entity he allowed prophet Ezekiel to see him before his fall. Now after his fall he looked different but that is part of what he looked like and would be the very end of the redemption process of mankind in New Jerusalem. I hope that makes sense.

That concludes our video on The High Priest’s Breastplate. We’re not totally finished. In doing this study I also wanted to make sense of the Urim and Thummim in this study to try to see if I’m on the right track here or not. I believe that the concluding matter that supported this theory is the fact that the tribes have their banner, and the tribe of Levi is in the middle of the camp, and this breastplate allows you to have the Urim and Thummim in the middle of the camp instead of putting in it in a pouch in the back that you can’t see. We do hope to have a part 2, Urim and Thummim, have a focus on those and what fulfillment do we see there. Very interesting study.

Again as we said this is part of our playlist ‘Show the Design, Measure the Pattern’. I will scan the PDF files and have that in the notes and description of the video (see below).
