Is Jesus Christ YHWH?  Friends, in this message we’re gonna talk about something that I had thought was so simple, so basic to the the Faith of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In Greek that’s Iesous Christos or  ē-ā-sü’s kyrios.  You will hear me sometimes say His name in Greek, in English it’s Jesus with a ‘J’, but there’s no ‘J’ in Hebrew or in Greek.  And that name, Iesous comes from the name Joshua, or in Hebrew: Yehoshua or some will say Yeshua, and that’s fine.

But there is a contention against His Name!

• There’s a contention against Who He is!  Is He God?  Is He Lord?

Well, these are words of course we use in English.  If we were to translate those into the Hebrew language or into the Greek language, of course we’d have different words.

• But it’s very, very critical to Faith and Salvation!  It’s also very, very critical for Testing the Spirits!

I was really surprised in my time in Jerusalem of how people are denying Him. How, the False Prophets, the False Teachers.  False, when we say False in English and we read it in the Word, False in the Bible it’s ‘Pseudes’, it’s it’s very close.  You have to Test, you have to Try!

So we’re gonna to talk about Testing the Spirits!  And when we do, the first thing is, ‘Who is the Messiah?’ If the person does not accept Jesus Christ, Iesous Christos, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, as their Savior, then of course their gonna to come up with many strange Beliefs, and they’re gonna be misled.

So we want to educate ourselves on how to deal with this.  Now I had problems in Jerusalem, lot’s of problems, people would contend with me.  And what I would do is I would ask them, I would say, ‘Is Jesus Christ YHWH?’  And they would say, ‘No!’  I’m like, ‘Well there’s no real point in moving on because you just denied Him.’

{2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.}

And so this is part of the Great Falling Away, the Apostasy that it said.

• That before the man of Perdition would be revealed, there would be a Great Falling Away.
• A Great Denying of the Faith!  And there is a Great Denying of His Name!

Now let’s go over some basic things in language.  In the Old Testament, it’s predominantly written in the Hebrew, some of it’s in Aramaic.  Then when we get to the New Testament, it’s written in Greek.  Certainly that’s possible that certain Books, like the Book of Hebrews, even potentially some of the Gospel’s were written in Hebrew or Aramaic.

But there’s strong indications that the Gospel of Matthew was written in Greek.  Why?  The Gospel of Matthew is quoting from a Book called the Septuagint.  The Septuagint is a Greek Translation of the Old Testament, also called the Tanakh.  So they are taking the Hebrew, and they’re translating it into Greek.

• So that was quite common at that time, because the people are speaking a ‘shared’ language with other Nations.  It’s like English in this day.  If you travel and you want to go to other Countries, you have to speak English.  People want to communicate.  Why?  Because you can’t just learn 50 languages.

So when the Gospel goes forth by the Apostle Paul, and go forth into Greece, he goes into Greece. Thessalonica is in Greece.  He’s writing the Epistle in Greek.  He’s not writing the Epistle in Hebrew to Greeks!  He’s writing it in Greek.

• And when he writes the name, Jesus Christ, it’s Iesous Christos. He’s writing that on that Epistle.  He’s not writing Yeshua, he’s not writing that.  He’s writing it in Greek!

The Apostle John, when he writes the Book of Revelation it’s in Greek!  He was the Bishop at Ephesus, in modern-day Turkey. So the people around the area, around the Mediterranean Sea, they’re speaking Greek.

• So in order to have the Gospel and the Epistle’s to go forward to them, the Apostle Paul is speaking to them in Greek.
• Even when he is in Jerusalem, in Acts chapter 21, he’s speaking in Greek.  He’s speaking to them in Greek.

{Acts 21:40 And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people.  And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

Acts 22:1 Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you. 2 ( And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)}

And then there’s arguments and disputes, and then he begins his Discourse.

• And when he does, he speaks in Hebrew because he’s addressing the Jews, in Jerusalem!
• But in the rest of his travels, when he was here in Cyprus and other parts in the Mediterranean, he’s speaking Greek. He’s writing Epistle’s to people that can read Greek.  And when he is, he’s writing the name Iesous Christos or Jesus Christ, that is what he is writing.

And he says himself, at the end of 2nd Thessalonians, that he penned it with his own hand!

{2 Thessalonians 3:17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen. The second epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.}

So some of them he speaks and someone writes it down, but he’s writing with his ‘own hand’ the name; Iesous Christos.

• So I am not ashamed of that Name! It’s under the Power of God unto Salvation!
•  But not only that, He is Lord!

So when we say, ‘Iesous Christos is Lord of lords and He is King of kings.’

Who is Lord of lords?  YHWH!

{Revelation 19:16 And he has on his vesture and his thigh a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.}

So in the Greek language, when we read it in English it says, ‘Lord of lords.’  Lord there is Kyrios in Greek. Now if we were to try to translate the word YHWH (Yahweh) that’s in Hebrew in the Old Testament or in the Prophets into Greek, we can see that this is clearly what was happening in the Gospels.

A good example is Matthew. Matthew has many verses that are quoting the Old Testament.  So we have a situation like, Matthew 3:3 ‘For this was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’

So we’re reading in Matthew, so this is in Greek.  Lord here in Greek is Kyrios.  So this is quoting from Isaiah.  Now what does Isaiah say?  Isaiah 40:3 ‘The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of YHWH, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.’

So we can very clearly see that the word Kyrios is a way of translating from Hebrew to Greek, the word YHWH. There are lots of other examples, I’m just going to put notes in the description so you can do more studies on this. {Notes are at the bottom of this blog.}

Now even when John the Baptist sent his disciples to Jesus to ask, {Matthew 11:3} ‘Are you the one that we should look for?’ 4 ‘Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: 5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.’

• So what’s happening is even Now people are offended in Him, again!

He is telling him the works of the Mashiach, the Messiah.  So this is the fulfillment of all the Scriptures, many examples.  Well, this is also a fulfillment of Psalm 146.

Psalm 146:7 He executes judgment for the oppressed: which gives food to the hungry. YHWH looseth the prisoners: 8 YHWH openeth the eyes of the blind: YHWH raiseth them that are bowed down: YHWH loveth the righteous: 9 YHWH preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow:

• So, the Messiah, the Mashiach is fulfilling the works of YHWH, clearly displayed in Psalm 146!

So He is fulfilling that. And so when we say and when we read in the Epistles, in the New Testament, ‘The Lord Jesus Christ’, Lord is YHWH!  He is YHWH Iesous Christos, that is Who He is!   And this is the most basic of Salvation.

{Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.}

Because Romans 10:9 says, ‘If you will confess with your mouth the Lord.’

• Lord in Greek is Kyrios, it’s YHWH, Lord Jesus.
• You confess with your mouth, ‘Iesous’ {Jesus, Yeshua}!

So, there’s Nothing Wrong with saying Jesus, it’s just English, it’s just a ‘J’!  But it’s Kyrios Iesous or YHWH  Iesous, YHWH Yeshua {The Lord Jesus}. He who shall believe in his heart that God, Theos, has raised him for the dead, he shall be saved.

• You can see how important this is to Salvation!

Is Jesus Christ YHWH?  It’s right there, Romans 10, He is Lord Jesus!  He is YHWH Iesous!

{1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;}

1 Timothy 6:3 ‘Our Lord’, Kyrios.  So we can see clearly that when they translated YHWH into Greek, it’s Kyrios.  He is Kyrios, which means He is YHWH.  Do you see that?

Now, He is King of kings and Lord of lords!  What is Lord of lords?  Who is Lord of lords?  The Lord of lords, again, if you were to look at that in the Hebrew Scriptures, you would see that is YHWH!

• YHWH is Lord of lords!

Now, let’s talk about Testing the spirits.  1 John 4:1, talks about testing the spirits.

{1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.}

Now, when you’re dealing with these people, they’re gonna know some of the verses.  If you say to someone and you’re trying to Test the spirit, and you ask them, ‘Is Jesus Christ the Son of God?’ They’re going to say Yes, because they know that you are asking that question based on, 1 John 4:1-3.

They know that you are asking, you’re Testing their spirit to see if they are the spirit of the Antichrist,  Anti-christos. If you just ask them, ‘Is Jesus Christ the Son of God?’  They’ll say, ‘Yes!’

But if you ask them, ‘Is Jesus Christ YHWH?’ See what happens!  I encourage you to do this with different people, and you want to Test the spirit. I mean, you can Test me, but I’m already going to tell you, I’m gonna say, ‘He is!’  That’s the whole point of the video.

• But I was astonished to see that that in this kind of ‘Hebrew Roots Movement’, many of the people about Torah and all this stuff, THEY’RE DENYING HIM AS YHWH!
• You ask, ‘Is Yeshua YHWH?’  They’re like, ‘No!’  And I’m like, ‘What?  You have big problems!’

So let’s take a look at 1 John, and let’s look at this ‘Test’, this Trial.  Even in the Book of Revelation, and the Church, the Ekklesia of Ephesus, they Tried those, they took them to Court.  Remember, we have the other video of Trial, Going to Court, Presenting yourself before YHWH.

The Church, the Ekklesia of Ephesus, they took people to Court and they tried them to see if they were Apostles.  And they found them to be Liars!  And Liars in the Greek is Pseudes.  So in Greek, something is a pseudes, a Liar or False Pseudes Prophets.  Pseudes Teachers.  Pseudes Apostles.  FALSE! So they ‘Tried’ them in Ephesus, and they found them Pseudes.  So that’s a Trial.

Now the Trial also is 1 John 4. ‘Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits.’ Like a Court Case! ‘try the spirits whether they are of God (Theos), because there are many false prophets. Pseudes prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby we know the Spirit of God (Theos), Every spirit that confesses Iesous Christos (Jesus Christ) is come in the flesh is of God.’

• Immanuel, Theos with us; God with us.

‘Every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is a spirit of antichrist.’

Now it also says, ‘Do they believe He is the Son of God?’  Yes, of course we believe He is the Son of God!

• We also believe He is God: Theos!
• And being God, He is also YHWH!

This is the most Basics of the Faith!

And what I’m going to do, a lot of these people I just delete them and their comments, and block them all the time because they just attack me for this.  And I’m like, ‘I am NOT ashamed of His name! I mean, this is the most Basics of our Salvation!  I’m like, ‘My goodness!’

But I’m gonna leave them!  I’m gonna leave these comments so you can see for yourself these evil and wicked people!  They’re aggressive in their beliefs!  And there’s a lot of these people in this ‘Torah’ stuff, and they are DENYING JESUS CHRIST!  They’re saying, He is….. they’re Rejecting that Name!  But it’s in Greek!  The Apostles, with their very own hands wrote, ‘Iesous Christos’ to the new believers throughout Paul’s journey, and even the Book of Revelation and other Epistles.

Thanks for watching!  This is a Critical Time!  And this is something that you can do.  The purpose of this is for you to do this.  Try the spirits, Test them!

There’s an opportunity to be on YouTube, anyone can teach, that’s great.  But, Try the spirits!  And,  especially in this Movement, just watch what the people do.  Is Jesus Christ YHWH?  Because they are already offended in His name!  And, you’ll see for yourself, you’ll see their answers.

So, watch and pray that you will be accounted worthy, to escape all these things, and stand before the Son of Man. Amen.
